You are all experiencing a world that has been turned upside down…let’s acknowledge that. You can and will survive this too…Here are a few tips to provide guidance.
- Be kind to yourself
Avoid negative, fatalistic talk. Take notice of negative thought patterns and let them go. Stressing and worrying is not going to achieve anything. Remember, this too shall pass. Keep active, sleep well and eat healthily. Develop a new skill, clear out that cluttered desk or clothing cupboard. Keep busy.
- Be kind to others
Share what you have, volunteer to help clean up the devastation. The effect of helping others is priceless.
- Focus on what you can control
There is no point in trying to control what you cannot control. Focus on being in control of yourself. Look after yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. You will and can survive this.
