Culture is an important part of life, as it gives us a sense of belonging and understanding of where we come from. Culture also teaches us about discipline, right from wrong, diversity and honesty. Education experts believe that teachers and parents should instil cultural values in learners, at school and at home.

Culture at Kloof
Our Cultural teaching team is made up of various staff members, all with varying qualifications, experience and skills to help our children succeed in our wide range of Cultural activities. Mrs Roux is the Head of Culture at Kloof High School and together as a team there has been many incredible achievements, a few which have been highlighted here:
World Scholar's Club
Kloof High School annually competes in the prestigious World Scholars Cup, an Academic and Debating competition held every year all around the world. The learners are given study material around a central theme for the year.
Our learners have qualified for the Tournament of Champions, three years in a row and in 2019, 60 schools from all over the world took part in the competition at Yale University, in New York City. Our 9 qualifying learners won 14 Silver and 7 Gold medals.
The 2022 group has since qualified for World's and aim to compete overseas again this year.
This group is successfully run by Mrs Roux.
Kloof TV
Digi-TV provides an online platform that enables schools to produce and live stream sport and extra-curricular activities on their own, personally branded channel. This platform allows everyone who actively wants to be involved in the events happening at a school to watch it live or later as a Video-On-Demand for free.
Kloof TV is successfully run by Mr Harilal, a few DIGI TV staff members and learners from Kloof High School.
Deb's & Squires
This is the main fundraising arm of the school. Learners begin in September of their Grade 9 year and finish in August of their Grade 10 year. Previous groups of Debutantes & Squires have raised between R70 000 and R197 000 each year and individuals have raised as much as R21 000, R30 000 and R40 000 on their own! All the monies raised over the last few years is going towards the heating of our school swimming pool in June 2020.
Fund’s raised by Debs & Squires also paid for the upgrade of our school’s website, thank you to the learners who voted to make this happen.
Debs & Squires is successfully run by Mrs Janssens.
