Culture enriches our lives and gives us a sense of belonging and understanding of where we come from. Education experts believe that parents and teachers should instil cultural values in the home and at school.
Kloof High staff offer a wealth of opportunities for cultural and academic enrichment.

Culture at Kloof
Our Cultural teaching team is made up of various staff members, all with varying qualifications, experience, and skills to help our children succeed in our wide range of Cultural activities. Ms Shezi is the Head of Culture at Kloof High School, and together as a team, there have been many incredible achievements, a few of which have been highlighted here:
Cultural Evening
Our Cultural Evening is more than just a show; it is a powerful showcase of the identities, stories, and traditions our learners carry with them every day. From the rhythmic beat of traditional drums to the intricate details of global fashion, this event is a heartfelt tribute to the many cultures that call Kloof High home.
Unity in Diversity: An opportunity for parents, students, and staff to connect, learn from one another, and strengthen the bonds of our school family.
Celebrate the Heart of Our Heritage
Matric Dance
While many schools opted for external venues, we took immense pride in keeping this tradition right here at home. With a transformation of this scale, there was simply no reason to go anywhere else; the familiar space became an entirely new world for the evening.
The evening is always a beautiful celebration of our seniors, held in a space that has seen them grow, but transformed into something magical and a night to be remembered.
We open our hall for viewing the Saturday morning of the dance, we welcome you to come in and have a look at the transformation.
Founders Day
Held annually at the end of May, Founders Day is the highlight of our school calendar—a day dedicated to honoring our heritage through spirited competition and community.
We look forward to welcoming our guest school for a day of elite sportsmanship across Rugby, Netball, Hockey, Padel, and Chess. It’s a showcase of talent where the "win" is secondary to the camaraderie built on the field.
Whether you're here for the final whistle or a stroll through the market, Founders Day is the perfect outing for the whole community. See you on the sidelines!
